Behind the Loops
Hey there! We’re Daniel and Jessie, the co-founders of Habit Loop, and we’re so excited to share our journey with you. You see, we’ve always had a thing for habits—they’re like the secret sauce of our daily lives! From rolling out of bed and brushing our teeth to figuring out when to squeeze in a workout, these little routines shape our days in ways we often don’t even realize.
Some habits are total MVPs—like hitting the gym regularly or flossing your teeth. Others? Not so much. We’ve all been there, right? Procrastinating on work or late-night snacking can definitely throw us off our game.

How Habit Loop was born?
Now, here’s the kicker: whether our habits are helping or hindering us, changing them can be a real challenge. It’s all thanks to something called habituation, where our brains get really good at doing the same thing over and over again. The more automatic the behavior, the harder it is to shake. But don’t worry! With the right tools and a bit of determination, you can build awesome new habits or kick those pesky old ones to the curb.
As a couple who’s always been into habit-building, we found ourselves diving into books on the topic, with The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg being a favorite. But here’s the problem we encountered: many of the tools out there, especially apps, left us feeling overwhelmed with information. It’s like trying to drink from a fire hose!
And when we decided to keep a journal to track our habits, we realized that we had to make it a habit to actually find and pick it up. Cue the lightbulb moment! That’s when we thought, “What if there was a journal we could wear? Something that would keep us accountable and always within reach?”
